Welcome to the first issue of Realizing Our Vision, a University Park Recreation District communication. We will regularly update the members of our community on the decisions being made and the steps being taken to ensure that University Park remains the pre-eminent place for each of you to live and socialize. This is your community, so your involvement and input are critical to the success of University Park.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

Unfortunately, many of our residents still haven’t signed up to receive this or other communications regarding the UPRD. Many erroneously believe that providing the HOA (UPCAI) with their email address means they will receive RD Communications. This isn’t the case since Florida law requires a separation of HOA and RD lists, so all community members need to sign up for both.

We would ask each of you to forward this newsletter to several of your friends and ask that they do the same. Our goal is to get everyone informed and engaged. Here is a link to sign up for future updates for those who haven’t yet done so.

UNIVERSITY PARK RECREATION DISTRICT WILL INVEST OVER $3.0 MILLION IN THE NEXT 12 MONTHS

Initial projects will include a total redesign and update of The Park Grille and Lakeside Dining rooms and an expanded Patio dining area including a new outside bar. Additionally, in the first phase, we will construct four Pickleball courts and move and expand the current Croquet court.

DESIGN VISION

The design vision for the University Park Country Club is to develop an engaging space that evokes a sense of community and connection to the luscious park setting. This space will be a comfortable and welcoming environment that will bring people together through social activities.

A relaxing atmosphere will be created with various vignettes that offer cozy, soft seating groups that allow for intimate conversation. The furnishings will allow for flexible arrangements, and the warm natural tones will flow seamlessly with the lush landscaping to complement the view. Organic forms and textual materials will be used to create a casual, inviting atmosphere.

The new and improved indoor-outdoor dining areas, bar, and new firepit seating groups will serve as multipurpose spaces that support a variety of events for all members and their guests to enjoy.

CHANGES TO SPORTS FACILITIES

Four Pickleball courts are planned for immediate construction and space has been identified to accommodate four more. A new Croquet Court is planned for immediate construction. This will be a great improvement over the half-size court presently being utilized.
